Get Up and Go at the Passage

The Passage runs London's
largest voluntary sector day centre for the homeless people. Everyday
they help up to 200 homeless or vulnerable adults. Volunteers are a
vital resource for the day-to-day running of the centre, and are in
short supply over the Summer months.

Morning volunteers will help out behind the scenes at the centre, perhaps sorting out the clothing stores, hepling with deliveries, or assisting the
chef with breakfast prep and washing up. You may also help out 'front
of house' serving food.Where possible, you will be offered a tour of The Passage and a talk about their work and services. It will be all hands on deck to get the centre off to a good start, so turn
up with plenty of energy and enthusiasm!

Important information:

Breakfast volunteers:

- Will now enter/exit the building via the red door on Kings Scholars Passage.

- Breakfast volunteers must arrive between 7am and 7.30am

- They should press the buzzer by the door, give their full name, state the company/employer and that they are a volunteer for the kitchen. The Volunteer Supervisor or another member of staff will be there and will allow them access.

- Unfortunately if breakfast volunteers arrive after 7.30am, they will have to wait until 8.30am when reception fully opens. Volunteers should not use any other entrances during this time.

- At the end of breakfast, i.e. at 10am, volunteers will then exit via this door. The Volunteer Supervisor will show people where to go.

KEEN London is the only charity in London which offers one-to-one sports and recreational opportunities for children and young adults with special needs (our 'athletes'), and their siblings, at no cost to their families and caregivers.

KEEN are looking for individuals to support their Sunday Sessions. Volunteers are paired up with a child (an experienced coach will support you) and help them take part in a variety of recreational activities. You don't need experience - just enthusiasm to try something new. They have session leaders who plan and run the activities and for this event the activity is swimming.
