Aina’s Street Kitchen is a wonderful small project with the aim of feeding the homeless and those in need in the Old Street area.
Volunteer support is from 5.30pm – 6.30pm is needed to help collect food donations from the shop EAT. and distribute it to people on the streets. This is also an opportunity to do some outreach, and raise awareness to hungry individuals about the food service later on in the evening.
This is done on the way to Aina’s Street Kitchen, where a pop up stall is set up at 6.30pm and help is needed to serve the food and to socialise with the service users.
Help is appreciated in any form, so even if you can only give an hour of your time, from either 5.30pm – 6.30pm, or 6.30pm – 7.30pm, your support will be much appreciated. Just let us know which session you can make it to if you are unable to make the full 2 hours!
Here are the locations for each session:
5.30pm – EAT. Cafe, 17 City Road, London, EC1Y 1AG
6.30pm – Post Office, 101 Hoxton Street, N1 6QQ
Note: Please do not attend any volunteering opportunity listed on this website until you have received a volunteer information pack, signed the HandsOn London Membership Agreement and verified your ID. Our community partners need to know that HandsOn London volunteers have been properly registered before supporting a project. Thank you!
