Dulwich Park

Volunteers are needed to join the Friends of Dulwich Park on a variety of horticultural projects. No experience is required. These sessions are family friendly! Children under the age of 18 are very welcome to come along so long as they are accompanied by an adult.

The ‘Dig the Park’ session is on the first Saturday of the month from 10 am – 1 pm  – there are occasional special ad hoc sessions for specific purposes.
This weekend the Head Gardener has suggested the Friends of Dulwich Park weed and mulch the winter garden, as it will keep the weeds down and keep the water in – the Winter Garden was funded by the Friends of Dulwich Park many years go. Wear stout shoes and bring gloves, if you have them.
Location:  Meet at the Francis Peek Centre Car Parkside just before 10 am.

Bus: Bus routes P4 (Lewisham-Brixton) and P13 (New Cross-Streatham) run alongside Dulwich Park. It is only a short walk to the park along Eynella Road from Dulwich Library and its adjacent bus stops for the 176, 12, 40 and 185 buses.

Trains: Overland trains to West Dulwich

Car park: Parking is available inside the College Road entrance, either along the driveway or in the car park.

Note: Please do not attend any volunteering opportunity listed on this website until you have taken steps to meet with us and become registered with Hands On London. Charities and community groups featured on our events calendar need to know that volunteers are registered and that their identity has been independently verified – they have requested confirmation of this via Hands On London.  If you attend without being registered or approved, it is likely you will be turned away and have a wasted journey.
