The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is “Press for Progress”, the event will be used as a way of connecting local women (in East London), and celebrating International Women’s Day. In line with this year’s theme, participants will be encouraged to take part in activities that will help to achieve progress in their daily life, career etc
At the beginning of the event, participants will be welcomed and given an introduction to the programme. They will be able to take part in Pampering sessions, Confidence Building/Motivation workshop, Wellbeing/Exercise session, Finance and Budgeting workshop, Career Progression talk, take part in making their own Vision Board, Henna Designs, Craft Stalls run by local women. Food and refreshments will be provided by community chef with help of volunteers. A crèche will also be available on the day so that parents/carers with small children are not excluded from taking part in some of the workshops.
