There are still many people who struggle to work a smartphone or laptop.
A monthly drop-in for residents (mainly elderly) to go along, have a cup of tea and learn about computers, laptops, smartphones, sending emails and printing documents. As well as having the chance to meet other locals from Battersea and socialise, it is also an important way of building the confidence of those who are learning new IT skills.
We welcome new volunteers with a wide range of abilities. If you want to volunteer, we ask that you come 30 minutes early to meet the team. This allows us to learn what your tech skills are and ensure that you aren’t faced with any queries that you aren’t comfortable with.
Trains: Clapham Junction or Wandsworth Road
Tube: Clapham Common (Northern line)
Buses: 35, 44, 87 344 and 345
Note: Please do not attend any volunteering opportunity listed on this website until you have taken steps to meet with us and become registered with Hands On London. Charities and community groups featured on our events calendar need to know that volunteers are registered and that their identity has been independently verified – they have requested confirmation of this via Hands On London. If you attend without being registered or approved, it is likely you will be turned away and have a wasted journey.
