Elizabeth is the Founder of Hands on London with extensive experience of flexible volunteering in the United States. Elizabeth started her career as a paralegal at Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes and Lerach LLP in New York then moved to London initially as a consultant for equity market surveys and then at Credit Suisse in convertible finance and European equities sales trading. Elizabeth co-founded a fund of hedge funds called Constellar Capital in NY. Between 2010 and 2013, Elizabeth ran Hands on London as Chief Executive Officer.
Jon Meech
Jon MeechChief Executive Officer
Jon has worked in the voluntary sector since 1999. He has worked as an Operations Manager for the Homeless Charity St.Petroc’s Society in Cornwall, a Network Manager for Scout Enterprises supporting Heathcare and young people and latterly as Service Manager for the Alzheimer’s Society in South East London. Jon is passionate about volunteering and the real impact that individuals can make in their community.
Peter Jonas
Peter JonasChair
Peter has worked in US Equity Sales and Trading for over 25 years at a variety of organisations in both London and New York; most recently, at William Blair, where he is a managing director in their equities business.
Outside of work, he is on the Court of Assistants to a livery company in the City, which in the modern world acts as a philanthropic grant giving organisation.
He joined the trustees of Hands On London in 2017, having volunteered during Wrap Up London as part of the William Blair teams.


Carolyn Kaiser

Carolyn has been a board member of Hands on London since 2011, which was the inaugural year of the Wrap Up London campaign. Carolyn has an extensive volunteer background, which includes supporting the United Way campaign and Chicago Cares along with serving as a youth group leader to teenagers for 10 years. Having worked in the financial services industry as an office manager for the past 20 years, she lends project management, facilities and organisational skills to Hands on London.
Nisha Hartelius
Nisha HarteliusTrustee
Nisha is a corporate property lawyer working at US law firm Reed Smith LLP in London where she specialises in acquiring and selling high value investment properties. Combining her legal expertise with her passion to volunteer, Nisha also undertakes pro-bono legal work assisting charities with property law issues. Nisha joined Hands on London as a Trustee in September 2015 having previously volunteered with the charity.
Rachael Walls
Rachael WallsTrustee
Rachael is a Certified Public Accountant working at international public accounting firm, BDO LLP, in the London office as an Audit Assistant Manager specialising in the consumer markets practice. She has worked in audit and assurance for 5 years, previously in the BDO USA Philadelphia office. Rachael is also a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International and is an active member in the London chapter. Rachael has facilitated charitable events with both BDO and the Junior League, most recently on the Little Black Dress Initiative committee which raised over £30,000 to fight poverty in London.
Susanna GarwoodTrustee
Susanna began volunteering with HandsOn London in 2011 and was a member of the original Wrap Up London committee. Along with the annual Wrap Up London events, she has led a selection of corporate and individual volunteering projects on behalf of HandsOn London. Susanna joined the HandsOn London board as a trustee in July 2017.

Susanna has worked in the financial services sector for nine years, managing bespoke and executive employee share plans operations for high-profile UK and international clients.


Hayley Colman

Hayley joined Hands on London in 2014 as a fundraising and administration coordinator, and now also project manages events such as our Wrap up London campaign. Prior to joining Hands on London, Hayley spent 6 years working in charity event management and has also worked in media.
Lee Milliam
Lee MilliamCharities Relationship Manager & Fundraising
Lee has worked for Hands on London since 2014. He also works as a part-time fundraiser and part-time helpline work for two other charities. He also contributes podcasts to the academic website Pod Academy. Before working in the charity sector, Lee worked as a radio producer for independent and BBC radio.
Matt Sutton
Matt SuttonProject Lead - Individual and Family Volunteering Manager
Matt has been at HandsOn London since April 2018. Before joining the team, Matt spent 3 months in Hawassa, Ethiopia with Voluntary Service Overseas, working closely with a drop-in centre for street children in the city. Matt also spent a few months with a London based charity who aim to reduce the abuse and discrimination that street connected children face around the globe and during this time, helped to facilitate the Congress at the Street Child World Cup in Moscow.
Cara Humphreys
Cara HumphreysCorporate Accounts and Project Manager
Cara has worked for HandsOn London since September last year, joining just in time for Wrap Up London 2018.
Previously, Cara was studying International Development at The University of Reading which led her to work in a charity in Kerala, India for 6 months as a Volunteer Coordinator and Field Staff, providing her with all the right skills and experience to work for HandsOn.
Georgina George
Georgina GeorgeFinance Manager
Georgina joined Hands on London on a part time basis in 2016. She enjoys the big reach that HOL has in helping communities and sometimes helps out leading volunteers. With over 25 years’ experience of both operational and financial leadership in a variety of public and third sector organisations, Georgina brings an entrepreneurial spirit with a creative passion. Awarded the Cultural Leadership Powerbrokers (CLP) International Leadership Fellowship in 2008 she worked on capitalising the impressive back catalogue of Jazz at Lincoln Centre, New York. In 2015 Georgina gained a 1st in BA Fine Arts at The Cass School of Arts whilst taking a career break.
Erika Bewers
Erika BewersMedia & Comms Manager
Erika joined Hands On London in 2019 after Volunteering for their Wrap Up London Campaign since 2017. Erika previously worked as an Assistant Producer at a small film production company on charity projects such as Bill and Melinda Gates “Reinvent the Toilet” campaign and David Attenborough and Plastic Oceans House of Commons Campaign. Previous to that Erika worked in a professional development and events based role at the non for profit organisation, Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
Kamela Dollani
Kamela DollaniFinance Officer
Kamela studied AAT Level 1,2 and 3 in West London College whilst working a 6 month contract with HandsOn London. Kamela has now completed her studies and become a full time Finance Officer.
