Hands On London is a charitable organisation, dedicated to community based volunteerism. We strive to make volunteering in London as easy and accessible as possible for those looking to give back to their community. Our mission is to equip, motivate and inspire people to take action that changes the world.

Founded in 2010, we are a registered charity that acts as an intermediary between not-for-profits, charities, community groups and volunteers (both individuals and corporates). We offer flexible and diverse volunteering opportunities in the greater London area. We source volunteers for charities' and community groups‘ ongoing projects and design and manage new projects that support these organisations.

Inspired by New York Cares, we work closely with the global umbrella organisation, Hands On Network.

To volunteer with us you first need to register on the website and attend a one-off orientation session. See below for the next available orientation session dates and contact info@handsonlondon.org.uk to confirm your attendance.

You will then be able to sign up for activities as and when you like through our online calendar.

Hands On London is holding orientation sessions for all registered volunteers. All members need to attend a one-off, 45 minute training session to be able to sign up to future HOL volunteer projects.

The session will introduce HOL's aim and mission and put a friendly face/s behind the charity. It also gives volunteers a chance to meet with each other and learn more about their roles, how to use the website and the nitty gritty details surrounding Health & Safety policies, amongst other things.

In the spotlight this week is our Saturday Supper cooking activity at Ronald McDonald House. Come along between 16:00-18:00 to prepare a nutritious and tasty meal for families staying at the house while their children are treated at nearby Guy's Hospital.

This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to someone's day, while practising your culinary skills and socialising with other volunteers.
