SUPPORT FOR LONDONERS who need it most
LiftUp Lives
Everyone deserves to feel connected and valued. LiftUp Lives empowers people to support vulnerable Londoners through meaningful volunteering projects.

Creating connection across the capital
LiftUp Lives is our ongoing community impact campaign, bringing people together to support those in need and create moments of connection and dignity.
Across the capital, people face challenges such as homelessness, isolation and limited access to essential resources. Through LiftUp Lives, our volunteers work alongside local charities and community organisations to help create stronger, more connected communities.
Our projects take several forms. Volunteers may choose to pack essential supplies for rough sleepers and new mothers in crisis. They may go to out into the community and cook meals or garden at a drop-in centre. Or they may simply share conversation and companionship with an isolated older person.
LiftUp Lives engages thousands of volunteers every year, providing vital support to Londoners who need it most and helping to create meaningful connections across communities.

Wormwood Scrubs Open Space
Wormwood Scrubs is one of London’s largest and most ecologically rich green spaces, spanning 190 acres in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Recognised as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC), this unique mix of grassland, woodland, and scrub supports over 100 bird species, 20 butterfly species, bats, lizards, grasshoppers, and one-sixth of the UK’s native flora. Volunteer support at the scrubs helps preserve its biodiversity while keeping it safe and accessible for the public.

Railside Community Garden
Railside Community Garden was founded in 2018 by a group of local Streatham residents. Once an unused and forgotten piece of land owned by TFL, the garden is now an important source of support for the local community. Fruit and vegetables are sent to shelters and food banks, while activities and events bring families and neighbours together. Volunteers are tasked with garden maintenance, including the repair of planting beds and benches, the clearing of invasive species from the orchard, the planting of fruits and vegetables and other tasks that help the garden thrive.

Brent Lodge Park
Located in the Brent River Park, Brent Lodge Park and Churchfields is a sample of the countryside within the urban environment of Ealing. Bordered by the tranquil River Brent, this site features extensive hay meadows, a maze for children and many veteran trees, making it the ideal place to spot wildlife. The animal centre is of great interest to visitors as are the loggeries, built for creepy crawlies such as the rare stag beetle.
Introducing Green Schools
As a community, we have a responsibility to support schools and their students. Help us to transform the green spaces of schools across London for safer and greener outdoor play and education.
